Fizzy compares KiwiSaver funds from these providers, and more

KiwiSaver is usually the thing that slips when you’re running your own show.

Fizzy gives KiwiSaver advice for every life stage. These are the three that come up most with our clients.

Saving for the future

If you’re self-employed or contracting, there’s no employer topping up your fund. Being in the right fund and contributing regularly carries more weight. Fizzy checks both, and makes sure you’re not leaving the government contribution on the table.

Buying your first home

Your KiwiSaver can be part of your first-home deposit. The closer that date gets, the more the fund you’re in matters. Fizzy checks it suits your timeline, not just your age.

Prepping for retirement

You’ve spent years building the business. Fizzy looks at where your KiwiSaver sits today and what needs to happen for it to carry you after you hand over the keys.

52%
is kind of a big deal.

Research found Kiwis who received financial advice had around 52% more in their KiwiSaver than those who didn’t.*

Maybe it pays to have someone in your corner.

How it works

  1. 1

    Answer a few questions

About a minute, mostly one tap each. Leave your number at the end and you’ll see what Fizzy would look at with you.

  2. 2

    Fizzy calls you

Your answers go with your request, so the chat starts where you are. No jargon, no sales pitch.

  3. 3

    They do the hard yards

Fizzy compares the providers, funds and fine print. If a change stacks up, they handle the switch end to end. If you’re already in a good spot, you’ll hear that too.

Why Fundme partnered with Fizzy

Most of our clients are self-employed or run a business, and KiwiSaver is usually the thing that slips when you’re carrying everything else. We see it in the bank statements every week.

Fundme doesn’t give KiwiSaver advice, so we went looking for someone who does it properly: licensed, free for the client, and straight-up about how they get paid. Fizzy were the fit.

We don’t get paid for the introduction. Fizzy doesn’t pay Fundme any commission or referral fee.

Great service, absolute professionals … No fuss, and I’m now in a better suited fund.

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes, whether you switch or not. Fizzy never charges you a fee, including if you have the chat and decide to stay where you are. If you do switch, your new KiwiSaver provider pays Fizzy a commission out of the fees it already charges, so it doesn’t cost you anything extra. You’ll still pay your KiwiSaver provider’s normal fund fees, as you do now. The detail is in Fizzy’s disclosure statement. Fundme doesn’t receive any commission or fee from Fizzy for introducing you.

Who can join KiwiSaver?

New Zealand citizens and people entitled to live in New Zealand indefinitely, including resident visa holders and Australian citizens, who live or normally live here. People on work, student or visitor visas can’t join. Under-18s can join with a parent or guardian’s consent, and there’s no upper age limit for joining.

Do I have to switch funds?

No. The chat is about where you’re at. If a change stacks up, Fizzy will show you why and let you decide. Nothing changes unless you say so.

I’m self-employed. Does KiwiSaver even matter for me?

Arguably more than for an employee. With no employer contribution, you decide what goes in, and the fund type and fees do the heavy lifting over the years. You can contribute directly and may still qualify for the annual government contribution. Fizzy will talk you through how that works for your situation.

Who actually gives the advice, Fundme or Fizzy?

Fizzy. Fundme arranges business and personal lending and doesn’t give KiwiSaver advice, and Fizzy doesn’t pay Fundme anything for the introduction. The questions on this page aren’t advice either, they just help Fizzy know where to start. Fizzy Financial Limited is a licensed financial advice provider, and their advisers carry the duties that come with that licence.

What happens to my answers and details?

Nothing is saved until you send the form. When you do, your answers and contact details go to Fizzy so they can call you. Fundme doesn’t use them for lending, marketing or anything else. Both Fundme’s privacy policy and Fizzy’s privacy policy apply.

Sort the one thing you keep putting off.

About a minute of questions. Fizzy does the rest.
